Summer heat turns neglected trash chutes into odor and pest problems fast. Here is how Chicago property managers keep chutes and refuse rooms clean, code-compliant, and complaint-free.
In most Chicago mid-rise and high-rise buildings, the garbage chute is the one amenity every resident uses daily and no one ever thinks about until something goes wrong. Grease, food residue, and liquid waste coat the inside of the chute with every drop, building up an invisible film that turns rancid over time.
